Water pollution and cutting of trees are two serious issues concerning the environmental crisis in Punjab. A team of Agriculture and Environment Center visited Faridkot to meet Gurpreet Singh Chandbaja of Bhai Ghanaiya Cancer Roko Seva Society (Faridkot). This society along with Naroya Punjab Manch has been making efforts to protect environment of Punjab. Gurpreet Singh Chandbaja has been leading protests against water pollution by municipal corporations and industry by mixing untreated hazardous industrial waste and municipality sewerage into water sources. He also make efforts to protect trees from being cut by various bodies connected with the government.
