To maintain environmental and ecological balance it is necessary to keep 33% of land under trees. But only 6% of land surface of Punjab is covered by trees. Therefore adverse environmental changes are taking place in Punjab. SEER is a group of residents of Faridkot who have taken up the task of maintaining green cover in and around the city. SEER volunteers plant plants in and around the Faridkot city and spare two hours a day, one in the morning and one in the evening, to take care of these plants.
