Bhagat Puran Singh Ji was first personality in last century who raised environment related concerns in Punjab during last century. He had foresighted the environmental crisis and wrote literature to advocate nature friendly way of life. He did not only propagate such a way of life, he himself lived as a life. Pingalwara founded by Bhagat Puran Singh Ji is working to serve humanity, and also for preservation of environment and nature. A team of Agriculture and Environment Center visited Pingalwara on June 7, 2021 during ‘Jal Chetna Yatra’. The team met Bibi Inderjit Kaur, patron of the Pingalwara and talked to him about various aspects of environmental crisis in Punjab.
