Agriculture and Environment Awareness Centre marked United Nations’ Nature Conservation Day on 28 July 2022 by holding a discussion on topic “How to Stop Pollution of Buddha Darya of Ludhiana”. Buddha Darya, a tributary of Satluj river, is marred by pollution as sewages of Ludhiana city and other town along with chemical waste of dying and electroplating industry is dumped into it. Animal waste of hundreds of dairies located with in municipal limits of Ludhiana city is also dumbed in Buddha Darya. Agriculture and Environment Awareness Centre invited representatives from the present government in Punjab, from political parties which were earlier in power in Punjab, from Punjab administration and from the civil society.
